Today I will be talking about the thyroid gland – one of the most important glands in our body.
The thyroid gland is responsible for our metabolism, as well as energy and hormone balance. When stress is high, this puts a massive taxing effect on the thyroid. We might not have actual clinical hypothyroid, but we might be suffering from the effects of stress slowing down our thyroid function. Once the thyroid starts to slow down, this also has an effect on the female hormone balance.
Some symptoms of a low thyroid are: slow metabolism (hard time losing weight), fatigue, hair falling out or thinning, low libido.
If you think you have a subclinical hypothyroid issue – there are a lot of things that can be done for you naturally with supplements, diet and stress management.
